Clara J. Schrock, 91, of Arthur, IL passed away at 2:08 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Melvin Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and any time after 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Clara was born on November 7, 1934 in Arthur, IL, a daughter of Jacob M. and Mattie A. (Herschberger) Chupp. She married Edward C. Schrock on October 3, 1957 in Arthur, IL. He passed away on March 18, 2023.
Survivors include four sons, Ezra Schrock and his wife Linda of Arthur, IL, Lewis Schrock and his wife Stephanie of Lerna, IL, Levi Schrock and his wife LeAnna of Arthur, IL, Eli Schrock and his wife Arlene of Arthur, IL and two daughters, Arlene Stutzman and her husband Nathanael of Worthington, IN, and Ruthann Herschberger and her husband Mervin of Arcola, IL; 40 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Wilma Yoder; one brother, Lewis Chupp and his wife Mary, two sisters-in-law, Verna Chupp (Edward), Lorene Chupp (Omer), and Edward’s sister, Alta Schrock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob M. and Mattie A. (Herschberger) Chupp, her husband, Edward C. Schrock, four brothers, Joas (Esther), Eli (Anna), Edward and Omer Chupp, one sister, Edna Schrock (Fred), brother-in-law Eli Yoder, one grandchild, LeAnna Stutzman, and three great grandchildren.
Clara was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
