Beverly instinctively knew from a young age that the most important thing in life is to nurture loving relationships. It was evident in all aspects of her life; from the way she loved her family to the kind of employee she was in the school system as well as the way she served others in her church and community. Even later in life when her body and mind began to fail her, she remained positive and loving, often described by her caregivers as an “Angel”.

Beverly began her career at Arthur Grade School as a cook and then graduated to Arthur Junior High as a Teacher’s Aid and finally found her niche at Arthur Grade School as the secretary, where she administered not only to the principals but to the teachers and students as well. Following her retirement she often would see former students who addressed her as “Mrs. Lacy” her official title at the grade school.

Her joy in life were babies and children, especially her grandchildren. She spent many hours nurturing and loving them even though two of them lived a long distance away. She knew that spending quality time with them was the most important thing she could do to show them how much they were loved.

Beverly was a longtime member of the Vine Street Christian church. She loved gardening, growing beautiful roses, red being her favorite. Redbud trees were special to her along with cardinals. Those will always be a reminder of her to her family. She was a great cook and was especially known for her homemade pies and her yeast rolls.

Later in life she enjoyed traveling with her second husband Bill. They drove all around the United Stated and made several trips out of the country. Their trip to the Holy Land was one of the most important to her.

Beverly’s life is an example to all of a life well lived!
