BARBARA S. OTTO, 87, of Arthur, IL passed away at 11:45 P.M. on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her residence in Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the HCK West Building one mile south of Arthur, IL.  Bishop David E. Schrock will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 and from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the HCK West Building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barbara was born on March 19, 1930 in Moultrie County.  She was a daughter of Solomon D. and Maryan D. (Stutzman) Beachy.  She married John E. Otto on November 24, 1949 in Arthur, IL.  He passed away on October 2, 2012.

Survivors include eight children; Pauline Kauffman and her husband Ben of Lovington, IL, Dorothy Herschberger and her husband Ray of Arthur, IL, Milton Otto and his wife Marilyn of Arthur, IL, Alma Jane Schlabach and her husband Willard of Sullivan, IL, Naomi Yoder and her husband Paul of Sullivan, IL, Kenneth Otto and his wife Marilyn of McBain, MI, Roger Otto and his wife Louise of Atwood, IL and Marlin Otto and his wife Rebecca of Moore, MT; 54 grandchildren and 117 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Elmer Beachy of Bonners Ferry, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandchild, Treva Ann Otto, one great-grandchild, Lamar Ray Herschberger, one daughter-in-law, Edna Fern Otto, and three sisters, Anna Plank, Edna Plank and Clara Yoder.

Barbara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
