Anton Tomasello

ANTON “TONY” TOMASELLO, 67, of La Crosse, WI, passed away at 3:11 A.M. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St, in Arcola, IL. Graveside service with Military Rites conducted by the Mattoon VFW Post 4325 will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, burial will follow.

Tony was born on July 15, 1949 in Chicago, IL. He was a son of Margaret May (Dulleck) Raia, and an adopted son of Jerome “Jim” and Helen (Detrich) Tomasello.

He is survived by seven children, Anton Tomasello of Blountsville, AL, Tina Tomasello of Arab, AL, Daniel Tomasello and his wife Laura of Mattoon, IL, Benjamin Tomasello and his wife Erica of Mattoon, IL, Adam Tomasello and his wife Jackie of Arab, AL, Mark Tomasello of Mattoon, IL and Matthew Tomasello of Panama City Beach, FL, 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and three siblings, Maria Graziano of Mattoon, IL Tommy Graziano of Mattoon, IL and Angelo Graziano of Blountsville, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Carter Tomasello, and one brother, Vito Graziano.

Tony was a Marine Veteran.

Tony was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was a drummer, and he enjoyed watching a good western.
