Anna Catherine Daniels

ANNA CATHERINE “KATHY” DANIELS, 89, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 5:45 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at her residence.

Kathy was born on December 10, 1934 in Clay County, IL, a daughter of William and Anna (Forfang) Warren. She came from a family of nine children, plus two that died in infancy. She married Gerald Eugene “Gene” Daniels on December 28, 1949 in Henderson, KY. They enjoyed 71 years of marriage. He passed away on July 4, 2021. 

Kathy is survived by three daughters, Judy Daniels of Tuscola, IL, Edith Jackson and her husband Jimmy of Tuscola, IL, and Marcia Hopkins and her husband John of Villa Grove, IL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Warren and his wife Nancy of Fairfield, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Daniels, brothers, Robert Warren, Galen Warren, Jack Warren, and Curt Warren, sisters, Betty Current, Hazel Colclasure, Ginny Richmond and two infant siblings, plus son-in-law, John Hopkins. 

Kathy worked as a waitress and cashier in several local businesses as well as Kraft Foods. Her main job was being a mother and a homemaker. She enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, reading, her pugs, yorkies and hummingbirds, and most especially spending time with grandchildren.

No formal services are planned, as per her request. 

Memorials may be made in her name to OSF Hospice or Douglas County Humane Society.
