Amzy Miller

AMZY D. MILLER, 78, of Sullivan, IL passed away at 7:43 P.M. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Harvey Chupp will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held anytime after 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 and anytime after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the HCK West Building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Amzy was born on January 13, 1941 in Moultrie County, IL.   He was a son of Dan A. and Lena M. (Schrock) Miller.   He married Mary M. Yoder on October 1, 1964 in Iowa City, IA.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Sullivan, IL, two children, Carol Renee Stutzman and her husband Paul of Arthur, IL and Darrell Eugene Miller of Sullivan, IL; three grandchildren, Jared Amzy, Jaden Marcus and Janae Lynne Stutzman; eight siblings, Anna Miller of Arthur, IL, Menno Miller and his wife Lorene of Arcola, IL, Ervin Miller and his wife Susan of Arthur, IL, Verna Schlabach and her husband Daniel of Atwood, IL, Elmer Miller of Lovington, IL, Willis Miller and his wife Katie, Omer Miller and his wife Nancy and Merle Miller and his wife Jane all of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister-in-law Katie Marie (Yoder) Miller.

Amzy was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.

He liked working with horses and helping at the Tri-County Auction.   He truly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
