Polly Anna Graber

June 27, 1935 ~ December 11, 2018 (age 83)

Polly Anna Graber, 83, of Cadwell, IL passed away at 12:44 A.M. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the New Life Church, 1504 Cooks Mill Rd, Sullivan, IL.  Rev. David Dolan will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St, Arcola, IL. 

Polly was born on June 27, 1935 in Dundee, OH.  She was a daughter of Christian D. and Dena (Hochstetler) Borntrager.  She married Ben Graber on December 17, 1955 in Washington, IN.  He passed away on January 20, 1997. 

Survivors include six sons, David Graber of Arcola, IL, Don Strohecker and his wife Nancy of Arthur, IL, Ron Graber of Cadwell, IL John Graber and his wife Dee of Windsor, IL, Allen Graber and his wife Sandy of Mooresville, IN and Tim Hochstetler and his wife Shannon of Mooresville, IN; one daughter, Carolyn Dunn of Windsor, IL; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Levi Borntrager and his wife Sue of Huntington, IN, Joseph Borntrager of Centerville, MI, Eddie Borntrager and his wife Nancy of Lancaster, PA, and Jacob Borntrager of Constantine, MI; and one sister, Mary Wagler and her husband Joseph of Goshen, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers, Samuel, Noah, David, Eli, Freddie and Amos; one sister, Emma; and two sisters-in-law, Mary and June.

Polly was a member of the New Life Church in Sullivan, IL.  She was a member of TOPS and was the runner up Queen. 

Polly retired in 1998 after working at the Masonic Home for 21 years.  After retirement she hauled Amish up until she became ill.

She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
